About

2012.

My name is Andy Veilleux and I have been writing poetry since the age of 14. I knew I wanted to write for a living from an early age, and that path led me into journalism. I have been a journalist for something like four years now, and it has helped me stabilize my writing in a big way.

Aside from writing, I have a History degree and Political science degree from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. My Journalism diploma is from Cambrian College, also in Sudbury. My Masters of Philosophy in the Humanities will be finished in April 2013 at Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

I’m not sure where my life will lead, nor does it matter much. The journey is more important than any destination, and there’s only one destination for us all in the end. I am thinking about beginning a PhD in Philosophy in Fall 2013, but plans are always up in the air.

I will be releasing a book sometime in 2013, although I have not yet decided when or with which publisher. I am looking forward to it and the writing has been going very well lately. It will be a combination of non-fiction short stories and poetry.
